October turnover poll

Results from our September Outdoor & Snowsports sales poll reflected only a slight reduction in the number of retailers reporting sales growth vs. last year, from 60% in August to 58% in September.25% of businesses reported sales growth in excess of 10% in the month.
One third of those polled reported a sales increase of between 1% and 10%, matched by one third reporting a sales reduction vs September 07.
The overall reported trend is ahead of general high street reports and not a significant distance behind the relatively buoyant cycle sector, where 65% of retailers reported growth in September.
Through our growing membership in the Cycles sector we are able to produce more detailed sales analysis, something that we would like to achieve via extended membership in the Outdoor & Snow sectors in the future, with your support.
